Camp notes

After-School Sports & Study Club

We are delighted to introduce our new After-School Sports & Study Club, providing children with a fun, structured and engaging programme at the end of the school day.

The club will run for two hours after school and will combine structured sports coaching with dedicated homework and study support.

🏫 Collection From Class

There is no need for parents to collect their child at the end of the school day.

Children booked onto the club will be collected directly from their classrooms by a member of our team and taken to the designated club area.

A register will be completed to ensure that all booked children are safely accounted for.

⚽ Sports Coaching

A key part of each session will be structured, coach-led sports activities designed to help children develop their skills, confidence, teamwork and understanding.

Our programme will vary throughout the term and may include:

Football
Basketball
Dodgeball
Cricket
Athletics
Gymnastics
Multi-sport skill development
Team challenges and sport-specific games

Activities will be adapted to suit the children's ages and abilities, with the emphasis on learning, developing skills and having fun through sport.

πŸ“š Homework & Study Support

Children will also have a dedicated period for homework and school study support.

This may include:

Completing homework
Reading
Spelling practice
Times tables
School learning activities
Quiet study

Children should bring any homework, reading books or other schoolwork they would like to complete during the session.

🍎 Food & Refreshments

Food and refreshments will be provided during the session.

Children will have an appropriate break between activities where they can eat, drink and recharge before continuing with the programme.

It is extremely important that parents provide us with details of all allergies, dietary requirements and relevant medical information when making a booking.

Drinking water will be available throughout the session.

πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§ Collection at the End of the Session

At the end of the club, children will be collected by parents/carers from the designated collection point.

For safeguarding purposes, children will only be released to an authorised adult.

Please ensure that all collection information is kept up to date.

πŸ“± Booking Your Place

We are currently using a temporary booking system for the After-School Sports & Study Club.

All sessions must be booked in advance. This allows us to maintain accurate registers and appropriately plan our staffing, activities and food requirements.

We are working towards launching our full provision and permanent booking system. Parents will receive further information as soon as this is ready.

⭐ What We Want Children to Get From the Club

Above everything else, we want children to enjoy coming to the club.

Our programme has been designed to give children a positive and productive end to their school day β€” developing their sporting skills, spending time with friends, completing schoolwork and enjoying a well-earned food break before heading home.

We look forward to welcoming everyone!
